Happy Valenetines Day!

The kids had a lot of fun this Valentine's Day!  I think my favorite memory is when Benjamin made a Valentine's Day card for his "special Valentine."  He did it all by himself and was very serious about it.  It was so cute and I had to bite my lip to keep from giggling because it was so cute!
She got 2 candies, when everyone else got 1
On the inside he wrote (all by himself)... "To Sariana, from Benjamin.  I love you. I want to marry you." and then drew a picture of ??? (I have no idea)  So cute!  I love my Benji!

We of course had our Valentine lesson at Escuelita, followed by a Valentine exchange.  The kids had a blast!

Abby's Fairy Party!

For starters I printed some great free Invitations from the Disney Family website.  Go HERE to print them.  I also found some great Table Decorations at the same site!  Just print them on card stock and presto!

With her cake I made her!

I think it turned out pretty good.  There is a big pink flower on top with a Tinkerbell candle sitting in the middle of the flower.

For decorations I hung big tissue paper pom poms from the ceiling and put up big "blades of grass" and flowers, therefore "shrinking us down to fairy size."  Perhaps it was a little much, but the girls thought it was great.
To start the party each of the girls went to our "Fairy Salon." They got to pick out wings (I bought them at the dollar store), sticker earrings, and paint their nails.  They also got to get some fairy face paint!

Love that fairy face paint!

My awesome soon-to-be sister-in-law did the face painting!  Love this girl!

BFF Sammy with her face paint
Even baby sister got her fairy stuff on!
After everyone was beautified, we had lunch!  Abby's favorite, Pizza, cheetos, apples and juice!

After lunch we made our first craft.  The girls made these awesome Fairy Flower Headbands (crowns).  Go Here for the instructions and free printable!

Then they made Fairy wands!  I painted wooden dowels white.  I cut stars out of some really thick foam sheets I got from Hobby Lobby.  Then I used a pencil sharpener to sharpen the dowels and poke them into the foam stars.  Then the girls decorated them and it was on to Games!

This first game was "Fairy, Fairy, Tinkerbell."  We actually skipped it, because we were running low on time, but it is the same as "duck, duck, goose,"  Just say "Fairy, fairy, Tinkerbell" instead.  Have the girls use their wands in this game for a fun touch!

Game two was "Pass the Fairy Treasure."  This is played like Hot Potato.  First you get a small treasure box.  I had one I bought a long time ago in Costa Rica.  Fill it with a favorite candy that can be shared.  Then close it and play "Hot Potato."  Use "Fairy" music.  One by one, the girls are out.  The last girl in gets to open the Fairy Treasure and then share with all the other girls!
.
The last game was "Pin the wings on Tinkerbell."  My sister-in-law made this game.  She printed a coloring page of Tinkerbell, blew it up, colored it, and then cut out wings the same shape as Tink's wings and put glitter on them.  The girls really liked this game!

Then it was Pinata time!  I bought a flower Pinata from Wal-mart and then glued a picture of Tinkerbell on one side and Rosetta on the other.

We ended with Cake and Ice-cream and presents!

For the Party Favors, the kids went home with their Wings, wands, headbands, and bags of candy (from the Pinata).  It was a ton of work, but such a fun party with such a fun Theme!  I love my Birthday Girl!
