Pre-school Graduation

This year for our Escuelita Graduation we kept it simple again.  After an opening song and prayer, we talked briefly about what Escuelita was and then the kids put on a little program.
The younger class presented one of the topics from two different months (Imagination & Community Workers).  Here is Sophia, Abby, and Samantha as a Grocery Store Clerk, a Fairy, & a Dr.)

They each presented what they were and the craft they did for that class
Then they sang "Los Elefantes"
The older class put on a skit and then presented their favorite letter.  Here is Benjamin playing the part of the little boy in the skit.
I seriously only posted this picture because I love Aaron's face in it (the yellow flower)
They put these "faces" on for the little dance at the end.  It was cute.
Then while they got ready the parents watched a video that Melissa made.
After which they marched in.
And received their diploma
It's always a fun way to end the year.
Now on to our Summer Activities!.....

Fire House Field Trip

This month at Escuelita the kids learned all about Community Workers so we thought a fun way to end the year would be to go to the Fire Station and learn about Fire Fighters and Fire Safety.  The kids really enjoyed it.
They watched a fun movie with Pumba and Timon (from Lion King) about Fire Safety
Then after checking out the Fire House, we got to go out and see the Trucks!  Benjamin really liked this part!
Cheking out the gear
I asked the Fire Fighter to put on the mask to show the kids what it looks like and tell them that if they ever see this to not be scared because it is a Fire Fighter trying to help them.  He backed up what I said and also talked to the kids about the mask.  I'm glad because I think for a kid, afraid, and in a fire, this would look like a big scary robot or something.  I hope they all understood.

Soccer

So Soccer has finally come to an end for this year.  The year is Fall and then Spring season.  It has been so fun to watch Benjamin play and he has had a blast as well!  At the last Soccer practice my awesome friend Yadira took these beautiful pictures each kid got a few single shots and then she took some team pictures! She said she did very simple and quick editing, but you would never be able to tell.  They turned out so beautiful!  She is so talented!  Here are Benjamin's Soccer Pictures.
