July Pre-school Outings

This month we had some more very fun (and cheap) outings! The first week we went to the Tracy Aviary! This was so much fun and definitely exceeded my expectations! It was like a mini Zoo, but all Birds! It was located in Liberty Park! Liberty Park is a huge beautiful Park right in the middle of the city! I wish we would have had more time to explore the park. But the Aviary was a blast!

Here are Benjamin and Abby "observing" the birds and Benjamin, of course, had to try standing like a flamingo on one leg. :)

They also had a live Bird show that was really fun!

Liberty Park had a few carnival rides as well and they were right by the entrance to the Aviary, so, of course, we had to go on a few at the end.

Here are the kids on the little plane ride

And on the little car ride! Fun Day!

The second week we had a Backyard Pool Party at Melissa Giraldi's house! It was actually loads of fun! She has a great backyard. The kids had a blast! Unfortunately I completely forgot to take pictures! Then the third week we were in Logan visiting Grandma, but the week's activity ended up being cancelled anyway.

Then the fourth week we went as a Pre-school group to the Children's Discovery Museum at the Gateway. This museum is normally quite pricey but if you go as a pre-school group you get an amazing discount!
Here is a picture of Abby and Samantha driving the jeep with Aaron in the back. All though we did go as a Pre-school group, I didn't get many pictures with the other kids because we spent most of our time with the cousins! They were in town by this time so they came along as well! It was so much fun!

Here are some highlights of Jairo and Jeff

Here are some of Emma. I remember when Isaac and I were newlyweds she was Abby's age and we had a special bond. She was (and still is) sooo cute! And Abby and her became great friends this summer.

And here are some Highlights of Aaron and Diego. These two cousins live here in UT and the kids see them very often. And they two are adored by Benjamin and Abby!

And this is Ian. He too lives in UT with two sisters. He is such a great kid and sooo good with the kids! I especially was glad he came along, he helped me so much. Anyway, as you can see everyone had a blast! Here is Abby in the grocery store eating some eggs.

She also loved the horse at the farm

But mostly she loved sitting at the kitchen table (just her size of course) in the little house and pretending to eat!

Benjamin spent most of his time "shopping" at the grocery store (he's my son all right) Don't forget to use your coupons Benjamin!

What a super fun day! We just love our outings!

Cousins!

This is Jacob. He is one of Benjamin and Abby's many cousins. There are 26 cousins in all (on Isaac's side of the family). Most of them live out of State. Two of Isaac's sister's live in Missouri and between them there are 10 cousins! So we love it when they come to visit. The youngest of the 10 is Jacob, and he is 9 months older than Benjamin, so they are having a blast with each other. Unfortunately I haven't taken many pictures of their cousins but I plan on having more in my next few posts. Anyway, this past week we have done a few things with them. Here we are getting ready to watch the 24th of July fireworks! It was in a lot of fun!

We had a picnic dinner. Abby enjoyed her "Mamwish"

What cute Patriotic kids I have!

Another thing we did was go to the Spanish Fork Reservoir! It was really fun, they have a great little beach!

The kids loved playing in the sand, and Abby even found a friend.

Here we are with two more cousins, Jairo and Jeff. Jairo (the one on the left) is Abby's FAVORITE cousin. He is so good with kids and they adored him for it.
We are having so much fun with the cousins in town!

The Zoo

We went to the Zoo this summer! I found out that if you saved 4 Cache Valley Cheese wrappers then you could get 1 free admission to the Zoo! So Lexi and I saved up 4 each and we took the kids to the Zoo! It was way better this time around since it was not winter. :) Above is Mama Elephant with Baby Zuri. I never got a very good picture of Zuri because she was always back behind her Mama. Anyway, we had a blast here are some more pictures...

Benjamin poses with the Elephant

Riding the Carousel

With the Giraffe

Benjamin wanted me to take his picture with the Gorilla statue.

And we ended our Zoo visit with the much anticipated Train ride! It was actually pretty cool! We got to see a few animals that you can only see on the train. So that was fun!

Thanks Uncle Allan and Aunt Lexi for coming with us! We had so much fun!

4th of July weekend

4th of July weekend we had lots of fun! We enjoyed fireworks on Saturday night, then neighborhood fireworks on Sunday night and Monday morning we saw the Freedom Festival Parade! The kids absolutely loved every minute of it. Here are some pictures...
While waiting for it to get dark we tried some poppers. Abby loved how they popped when she stepped on them. Benjamin liked them too but wasn't too sure about the popping sound.

Once it got dark we busted out the Sparklers!

Abby loved them as well! But Mom had to help.

Once the fireworks started, the kids sat in their little chairs and were just mesmerized.

But towards the end they ended up on the Blanket with their cousins

Watching the Parade

Benjamin, Aaron, and Diego sat right up front

How to Train your Dragon Float and a Big Army man Balloon.

Abby looking so Patriotic

I love their faces in this one, even the kid in the back who I don't know. What did they see?....

A Big Dog Balloon!
Fun Parade!
