Fred & Judith's Wedding

This is the actually day they got married.  It was a simple intimate ceremony with very few close family and friends, but it was a very nice ceremony and afterward we all went out for a nice dinner at the Blue Bird Restaurant.

So a week before their Ring Ceremony and Reception they had a photo shoot done (by a good friend of mine) instead of paying a lot of money for a wedding photographer.  I think the pictures turned out amazing!  Here are a few of my favorites!

Wedding in a Box
So I am calling this wedding the "Wedding in a Box."  Because I feel like Alicia, my Mom and I pulled this wedding out of a box and made quite an awesome wedding out of nothing!  This wedding cost less than $600 and that includes the photo shoot and her wedding dress.  Oh yes, that is correct!  Here are a few stats on the just the Reception.  We did it at a church (free).  The decorations Alicia was able to borrow most of it for free and she put it all together herself.  The flowers we bought from Costco and Alicia made the Bouquet and Fred's bootineer.  We also did the tables and centerpieces ourselves.  The Food (which ended up being delicious and filling) was family Pot Luck style.  I made the cake... Yes, I did!  And Alicia arranged the flowers on it for me.  And finally we had a dance and Allan and I each made a play list on our I-Pod's and then plugged them into the sound system at the church!  It worked out perfectly!  It was a fun and memorable evening and after it was all over, my mom, Alicia and I sat back and could not believe that we actually pulled it off!  We are ready to go into business!
Fred and Judith with the Ring Bearer and the Flower girls before the ceremony (notice the decor?  Yes, Alicia did that!)
Cute little Isabel

The Cake!  My Cake!  I have made some pretty elaborate Birthday cakes for my kids but this is my first ever wedding cake!  It was not perfect, but not bad for my first time and they will only get better from here on out!  Not bad huh?  I was super proud of myself!

The Zoo

A week after we got back from Disneyland we got to go to Isaac's work Party! And it was at the Zoo!! We were so excited because we had been wanting to go all summer and we finally got to go!  Unfortunately Isaac's company is soooo huge that it was pretty crowded and the lines were pretty long!  But we still had fun!  We got to see the animals we wanted to, ride the train and the carosel, face painting, and we got a super yummy dinner too!  It was worth going to!

My favorite part was seeing the new Rocky Shores exhibit!  It is pretty spectacular!  Especially the Polar Bear, she was so fun to watch!

Here's one angle of how she kept popping up right in front of the glass!

popping up right in front of us

The kids got such a kick out of it!

After popping up she would kick off with her hind legs and back float away

Then she would do it again, and again, and again

After seeing the Polar bear Abby wanted to take this picture

Roar!  We are Tigers!

The Bird show is always fun!
And the last thing of the night, was riding the Carousel!  Fun Day!

We love Disneyland!

O.K.... third and FINAL trip!  I know, crazy but we had those annual passes that were about to expire and just had to go one last time!  Think we might had been Disneyed out?  No way!  Besides with the re-opening of California Adventure and the new Cars Land!  There were so many new things to see and do!  We had sooo much fun!

First off, I had this great idea of making a baby head band with Minnie ears and my good friend Xochitl made it a reality!  So cute right?!
Day one was spent in Disneyland doing a lot of our favorites!
Isabel loved the carousel!
So did Abby!
Because it was Labor Day, we got to see the Fireworks show and Fantasmic!  I wish I had a better camera, because my pictures just do not do it justice!  It is such an amazing show!  It's to bad Abby can't stay awake for it.  She misses it every time (totally passed out in her stroller)!
Dancing Jungle Book monkeys

Captain Hook's Pirate ship with Peter Pan battling it out with the Pirates!

Princesses Dancing on their floats

River Boat ending

And there's the toy story gang!
Second Day we went to California Adventure.  I wish I would have taken a picture of the New Buena Vista Street, it is quite spectacular!  I remember the first time I went to California Adventure, I thought, "That was fun, but it was like a regular them park"  It totally lacked the Disney magic.  Well... not anymore!  It is perfect!  Kudos to the Imagineers at Disney!  What a fantastic job they did remaking this place.  Now it can truly call itself "Disney"!

Anyway, we had a Magic Morning this day and headed strait for the new Radiator Springs Racers Ride!  As did everyone else!  It was still a pretty short wait until... it broke down!  We decided to wait it out rather than go back later and wait 2 hours, we ended up waiting a total of about 1 hour, but we totally waisted our Magic Morning.  Oh well, we still had a super fun day!  And for the first time ever, we spent the whole day there and still did not do everything we wanted to!  That says a lot for how much this place has improved!

This kids really wanted to see this show again "Disney Jr. Live on Stage"

We met Flick!

Bumper Cars!
Another new thing we did was see the "It's tough to be a bug" show!  Wow!  that was so fun!  I can't believe we did not do it sooner!  We will definitely do that show again!

The other new thing we did was the Pixar Parade!  Because of all the previous construction this parade was not showing.  But now that the construction is over it is back on and it was super fun to watch!

Mater ended the parade, I tell you what.... Disney sure knows how to put on a Parade!
And our Favorite new thing was CARS LAND!
This is Cars Land's best kept secret!  Mater's Junk yard Jamboree!  It looks like a kiddie ride, but don't let it fool you!  It was really fun and whips you around pretty good!

This place was amazing!  It really feels like you stepped right into the movie!

And you really feel like you are somewhere in southern Utah!  I love it!

The Racers!  Super fun ride!

D.J.

Beautiful at night!

And the town lights up!  Just like in the movie!
Day 3 we spent at Disneyland again and it started with a Magic morning that really was Magic!  The park felt empty, litterally empty!  We went on several of the rides that typically have longer lines multiple times!  Then when they opened the park at 10 am we litterally saw a wave of people rushing in!  It was crazy!

We rode Star Tours, and Space Mountain and the newly re-opened Matterhorn!  It took some major coaxing to get Benjamin on, but he did it and afterward loved it!  And we went 3 more times!, in a row!  He now says it is one of his favorites!  I was so proud of Benjamin this time, he tried all the rides that he was too afraid of before!  Matterhorn, for one, and Splash Mountain, and the River Rapids (in California Adventure) and The Tower of Terror!!!  He loved every one of them!
Matterhorn!
We also had our Princess day today!  Here we are with Rapunzel and Flynn!

We finally found Aurora!  This one's going on Abby's wall!

Abby in front of the White Rabbit's house

It's just her size wouldn't you say?

My two Princesses on the carousel

We found Abby's Fairy Godmother!

So because Abby desperately wanted to see Cinderella and we did not see her the first time around... we went back.  And while we were there Abby made a friend!  She was seriously sad when we said goodbye, these two girls were two peas in a pod, seriously, they were both freaking out over every princess together, the other mom and I were getting a kick out of it!

And here she is... Cinderella!
We also got to meet the New Princess!  Merida!  She was so cute and it was super fun to meet her!  Although, I wish she would have had an accent, which she did not.  Note to Disney... Work on that!

The kids also go to shoot some "arrows"!

Benjamin really liked this part!
And of course we got to see the parade again!  We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, this Parade!

Later that night we rode the Monorail to downtown Disney and saw these awesome life-size lego sculptures!

Yes, that is Prince Philip fighting a HUGE Dragon on the roof of the Lego store!  And yes it is all made out of Legos!
Day 4, back to California Adventure!  Where we saw another new show, "Alladin's Musical Spectacular"  Wow!  what a show!  It was like being in a Broadway Musical!  It was so good!  A must see show!  And of course we spent more time in Cars Land!
Here we are on the Racers!  (A little too much of a close up!)

Seriously just like the movie!

So this is where you take off for the big race at the end of the ride, but this is where it broke down!  Someone had to come get us and walk us off, but it was kind of cool!

Not very many people get to take this picture inside the ride!

Nor do they get to take this picture walking on the track of the ride!
Of course they gave us fast passes to come back and ride it later, which we did!  And due to break downs and the sound not working in one of our cars, Benjamin got ride an unheard of 5 times on this day!  He was loving life!
Luigi's Flying Tires!  Ask me some time about the history of this ride!  It is soooooo cool!

And we had to go ride the Monsters Inc. Ride when Isabel was looking so cute in her Mike Risowsky outfit!

Day 5 I did not take many pics, but we spent most of the day in Disneyland but went back to California Adventure for a little while just to ride the Red Trolly down Buena Vista Street.  We promised Benjamin we would!

And we got a great Christmas card picture!

Goodbye Disneyland!  This time we mean it!  We will see you in a few years!  Thank you for all the wonderful memories!  We will miss you!
